Our new rescue boat (bottom) is equipped with a 30HP outboard motor and has plenty of room for rescuers, life saving equipment and victims.

With this grant we also got a snazzy new boat trailer. The top rack allows us to store our existing inflatable used for river rescues or other situations where having the motor is not feasible or practical.

The front of the trailer has ample room to store all the other gear and equipment we need. Putting everything on one trailer will expedite our response to water emergencies.

In the winter when our fire boat has to move from the boat house in Gibson Cove to dry storage at Station 2 the new rescue boat can be deployed much faster than getting the fire boat back in the water since it does not require a boat ramp and can be hand carried by 3 people.
