Night to Shine, sponsored worldwide by the Tim Tebow Foundation, is a prom-night experience honoring individuals with special needs, and Friday evening’s event in Murphy was nothing short of extraordinary. The joy, energy, and spirit of celebration were evident from the red carpet to the final dance.

We were proud to have members of Clay County Fire & Rescue serve in several meaningful roles throughout the evening. Personnel were present both in and out of uniform, assisting with:

• Medical standby coverage, ensuring the safety and well-being of all guests and volunteers
• Serving as a “Buddy” for the evening, walking alongside honored guests and sharing in the celebration
• Providing operational support, helping the event run smoothly behind the scenes

Our firefighters and staff were honored to stand beside the volunteers, families, and organizers who made this event possible. It was a powerful reminder that service goes beyond emergency response — it is also about showing up for our community in moments of joy, celebration, and inclusion.

We commend First Baptist Church of Murphy and all volunteers who worked tirelessly to create such a memorable and uplifting evening for every honored guest. Thank you for allowing us to be part of something so special.

Clay County Fire & Rescue is proud to serve — and proud to celebrate — alongside our community.
